How many of you have thought "if only I had a better camera my pictures would be so much better"? I know I have. This summer, however, I discovered that the age old adage "It's not the size that matters, it's the way you use it" is true for more than male masculinity...it applies to photography as well. Jodies Coston's Free Online Photography Course - http://www.morguefile.com/docs/Classroom - This is probably the best free course I have found and thoroughly recommend reading the material a couple of times and also doing the assignments Neil van Niekerk – Planet neil Exposure meeting - http://planetneil.com/tangents/exposure-metering/ Flash Photography - http://planetneil.com/tangents/flash-photography-techniques/ - These have got to be some of the best pages on these subjects. It is explained with such clarity that even I could understand it. Strobist - http://strobist.blogspot.com/ Has an amlost cult status in the world of photography and is a main source and inspiration for people looking to get more our of their strobes (flash) Digital Grin Tutorials - http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1100284 - This is a great site full of resources everywhere and some of the most active photography forums from professionals and semi-professionals who welcome beginners or pros alike. You will meet some great people in the forums and get a lot out of the tutorials Other sites I visit are: Digital Photography School - http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/ - Lots of good stuff here and good for general reading etc. Photo School - http://www.photo.net.ph/photoschool/index.html - Local Philippines site with some good basic tips. Photo.net - http://photo.net/learn/ - Lots of information here on specific types of photography you may want to know more about. Digital Photography Tutorials - http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials.htm - Various tutorials covering both camera and computer software skills. PhotoshopBox - http://www.photoshopbox.com/ - Some good Photoshop tutorials if you want to know a few tricks. Have fun learning and don’t be shy to ask questions – I love talking photography :-)
